SAPPHIRE LENSES, WINDOWS, DOMES AND PRISMS FABRICATED IN USA

A full range of sapphire optics that are custom fabricated for protecting vision systems in military remotely piloted aircraft (RPA) and other appli-cations is available from Meller Optics, Inc. of Providence, Rhode Island.

Meller Sapphire Optics can be fabricated in a wide range of configurations including lenses, windows, domes, and prisms with custom machined edges, profiles, angles, and special radii. Featuring 9 Mohs hardness, these robust optics are manufactured in the USA and Meller has an in-house goniometer that measures their crystalline structure in real-time.

Capable of achieving 20th wave flatness, < 2 Angstroms surface roughness,
< 5 arc/sec parallelism, and 10-5 scratch-dig, depending upon configuration, Meller Sapphire Optics transmit from the UV through 4.7 microns and are ideally used for use as front surface optics in all types of RPAs, UAVs, and drones. All parts conform to MIL-PRF-13830B for optics.
